A Small Dog’s Big Life is the true story of Owney an amazing stray dog who became the mascot of the Albany, New York post office and then traveled the world capturing the hearts of everyone he met. Come travel along with Owney in this Google Lit Trip!

Mrs. White has an MLS from the University of North Texas and has been a school librarian for 29 years. She has been the librarian/library media specialist at Wilderness Elementary School in Spotsylvania, Virginia, since the school opened in 1998. The school has 750 students in grades K-5 and Mrs. White sees all of them in 30 classes every week. She also serves as the curator of the school web page. She has also served as a Young Adult Librarian for the Dallas Public Library.
Mrs. White loves to read and greatly desires to encourage children to develop a love of reading. She thinks that Google Lit Trips will help stir the children’s desire to read and increase their knowledge of geography.
Mrs. White took a class in Google Earth and began creating Google Lit Trips. The trip about Owney was her final project for the class which was taught by Tim Stahmer.
